Vegetables with Attitude presents Five Rod Feast on Saturday 24th May
Five Rod Feast
Inspired by the Flavours of Rajasthan, North India
Join us for the first Vegetables with Attitude supper club of the year - a very special evening inspired by our recent journey through Rajasthan. It was a trip full of colour, warmth, and unforgettable flavours, and we’ve returned brimming with stories and spices we can't wait to share with you.
Rajasthan, with its bold, intricate, and deeply rooted culinary traditions, reminded us how rich and diverse Indian cuisine truly is. Too often in the West, it’s all folded under one label - but each region in India has its own unique food language. This feast is our tribute to that: a celebration of the regional identity and incredible dishes we encountered across the desert state.
We’ll gather on May 24th at Five Rod Farm, around our new communal feasting table.
Arrival from 6pm — parking is available in the field.
Expect a welcome drink, an abundant Rajasthani-inspired menu, and beautiful live music from the wonderful Jan Ashwell and Ralph Taylor.
2025 has already seen the boys making musical waves across the UK - from their own performances to stepping into the shoes of George Harrison and John Lennon as part of The Secret Peppers, the UK’s freshest Beatles tribute act. That one-night-only show aboard the S.S. Britain sparked something special, and from it, a brand new album of original music was born.
At this edition of Five Rod Feast, Jan and Ralph will share a curated set that reflects their journey so far this year. Expect heartfelt tunes, a few surprises, and the usual Five Rod magic with friends and family joining them on stage. We can’t wait to share it all with you.
This will be an intimate evening - a chance to slow down, savour, and connect: with each other, with the stories behind the ingredients, and with the landscape and culture that inspired the food.
We hope this immersive experience sparks curiosity, encourages thoughtful conversation, and nurtures a deeper connection to what’s on your plate - from the soil it grew in to the hands that made it, and the people you're sharing it with.
We can’t wait to welcome you into the garden and share our inspirations and creations with you.
With love,
The VWA Team

Vegetables with Attitude presents Five Rod Feast on the 9th & 10th August
Vegetables are back and the Attitude is strong. With more sun fuelled gusto, we bring before you our next supper club - “Five Rod Feast” hosted at none other than our very own Five Rod Farm.
Our passion for food is just as significant as our affection and dedication to growing it, so to pay homage to our love of growing AND cooking, we will be preparing our three-course set menu bang in the middle of the market garden.
We hope that the participation in an immersive food experience encourages a wider, loving gaze towards the food we eat, the knowledge about where it comes from and most importantly, who we're sharing it with!
We care about providing nutritious, vibrant and inspired food, from our soil and hands to you. Please, join us for an evening of sustenance, music and drinks on the 9th and 10th of August at Five Rod Farm, Kenton Hall.
We can't wait to share our creations with you. With love, VWA team. X
